Ignoring the most easterly crossovers (i.e. near the coast) the crossovers
actually indicate an OK accuracy with quite variable offsets. Hence, don't put
too much emphasis on the total weighted mean and maintain.

Difficult decision... high standard deviations of the weighted mean offsets make
it hard to suggest a 3% downward adjustment. Also, note that all OVIDE have
received rel. high (15%) upward adjustments themselves… However, apart from a
good fit with TH2008 all crs indicate too high concentrations of roughly 3%.
Adjust downward.

Very likely that the concentrations are too high (best proof offshore). However,
most striking is that the data are very spready which make bias detection very
difficult. All in all not enough evidence for a roughly 3% adjustment. Maintain
with doubts.

The nitrate profiles are not very precise and show lots of scatter compared to
GLODAPv2.2020 cruises. Appears to be some offset, but not enough evidence so we
decided to not include these data in the product.
