Difficult assessment as 1) most recent cruise in time is from 2009 (i.e. 8 years
older) and 2) has a lower vertical resolution than most other cruises below
1500m. All in all given the high uncertainties there is not enough evidence for
a 3% downward adjustment.

Do not adjust. There are very few deep profiles and the crossovers do not give
clear evidence of a bias (certainly not a depth-independent one). There is
nothing to indicate that the data are bad so we give it a pass for 2nd QC.

Very scattered data, particularly in the deepest part. Not really possible to
correct based on our available tools and information, and for data included in
GLODAP we should be confident that they are good. I’m not in this case.

Bad crs results coming down to too few data points at depth and very spready
data on top of it. Given the spread of the results and the actual plots no 2nd
QC possible.

Difficult assessment again… the more statistically robust crs show a negative
offset of around 3% however few of these crs include close in time comparisons.
Those rather show a smaller offset. Putting a stronger emphasis on the number of
comparisons an adjustment upward seems OK.

Nitrate data look offset based on summary plot. Samples were frozen. For overall
GLODAPv2 consistency the RG decides to adjust nitrate down by 3%

Poor fit between bottle oxygen and CTD oxygen. Decided to not use the CTD data
and base oxygen adjustment on bottle data only
